Commissioner Frank S. Fuda and his wife Darlene are from Niles, Ohio. Frank has three children, Tonya Swuager who is a metallurgist, Tony Fuda who specializes in culinary arts, both who work in the Valley, and Frank Fuda, Jr. who is a pathologist in Dallas, Texas.
Frank attended Mt. Carmel and Niles McKinley Schools in Niles, Ohio for his primary education. He went on to attend Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and his Masters Degree in Administration.
Frank worked at Republic Steel for five years while attending Youngstown State University. He then worked for the Mahoning Valley Vocational School as a math teacher from 1968-1970. He continued his love of teaching for over 35 years with the Cleveland Public School District.
Mr. Fuda was a 1st Ward Councilman for the City of Niles for 16 years before being elected Trumbull County Commissioner, a job that he is very passionate about. He is also a member of the Jefferson Club, Niles Democratic Club, Farm Bureau, Niles Intramural Sports organizer, Vienna Knights of Columbus, Niles Frontliners Football Program, Niles Beautification Committee, Niles Lions Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Mosquito Creek Development Committee, Make a Difference Committee, Northeast Ohio Federation of Teachers and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, Ohio.
Mr. Fuda enjoys a number of recreational activities including playing basketball, baseball, and bocci. He is a huge Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. He also enjoys attending Mahoning Valley Scrappers games.
